THE TRUTH EVERY CHRISTIAN MUST KNOW ABOUT THE FIRST ADAM AND THE LAST ADAM

Romans 5:12-22 this passage must be understood within the context of Romans 3:21—5:11, which sets forth the gospel of the grace of God revealed through Jesus Christ. This passage continues to magnify God’s grace by presenting the universal scope of Christ’s redemptive work. V. 18 summarize Paul’s teaching. One act of one man brought sin and its penalty of death upon the human race. One the other hand, the obedience of Man counteracted this deed and made righteousness and eternal life available for humankind. Adam headed the old humanity characterized by sin and death. Jesus Christ heads a new humanity characterized by righteousness and life. We come under the consequences of Adam’s deed by natural descent. We come under Christ’s obedience by faith (see 1 Cor. 15:22; 2 Cor. 5:14).

Romans 5:19 is a summary of God’s plan of representative heads for the human race. Adam sinned (once), and all whom Adam represented were found guilty. Christ obeyed (through His whole life) and all whom Christ represented will be made righteous. Some object to this idea of representative heads for human race. But if we do not think is fair that we are counted guilty for Adam’s sin, then we also should not think is fair that we are counted righteous for Christ’s obedience.

The first Adam die with his wife but the last Adam (Christ) die for His wife, so that He can present her as a chaste virgin, blameless and never to be blameworthy as of old. He has rescued her to a living hope to be the Lord's eternal theme of praise and worship. As first Adam was conscious to join his wife to sin against Yahweh, the last Adam willingly gave His life by His own accord  as lamb before the altar, as the final designated sacrifice to annulled forever the sin of the first Adam; not only the first Adam but all in that blood line (you and I). The last Adam came by His saving power to remove that blood line of the first Adam and by virtue of His eternal love infused and still infusing His spiritual genetic code (DNA) to His church. He bought her by His own very life from the old conversation into the newness of the Spirit.


He (the last Adam) is committed to keep saving her (the church) till the revelation of Him and glorious appearing of Him at the end of time which is only known by God. The last has the power to retrieve the irretrievable and gives spiritual life to the vilest offender, is name is Adonai Son of Yahweh; the Son of His love Col. 1:13. And His the life giving Spirit.
