THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD’S WILL

The will of a man is his ways and his ways doesn’t give room for God's will to find expression, only if he has been conquered by the gospel to submit to God in all reverence. By default the will power of man wants to lead the way even when he knows that it’s against God's will. Our will must be done away with, that the Excellency of His will might find expression. When the will of God takes us over, grace opens us up to live contrary to what is normal among men. I have discovered over time that the general phenomenon among men is, when our so-called will is experimented to a degree of physical success and with a visible side called prosperity. But those who are lovers of God's will are sons and daughters who live to do the Father's will and His pleasure.

It was said of the Bishop of our souls the Lord Jesus Christ in Hebrews 10:7; then I said, 'Behold, I have come —in the volume of the book it is written of Me —to do Your will, O God. The Lord Jesus sojourned on the earth to live, do and teach the will of God. In another place, Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. John 4:34. His allegiance was so pure to the sovereignty of God’s will not His own will.

Who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.  And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Phil 2:6-11. Jesus went to the lowest part before He ascended to the highest. He was meek, lowly and bore the magnificent of the Father’s will. To die on the cross was His portion and He never had any iota of self-inclusion.

It is when we have relegated our will that we can be entrusted with divine authority. If our will is still full of strength we cannot come to higher allocation of authority and this allocation is for those who have come to the end of themselves and are alive to His will only. Christ the first begotten of God was made to seat at the right hand of the majesty on high and it was said of Him in Matt 28:18"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. The inauguration of that authority was after His obedience has been fulfilled and He has completed the perfection of God’s will. Evidently, Jesus through His obedience to the Father’s will has raised many sons to glory and this sons (brethren) must carry out the Father’s will in the similitude of the first begotten—Christ the Son of His love.

He that does the will of the God abides forever but, if it is our will it will pass away very soon with its glory. Satan desperately desired that the Lord Jesus would just do His own thing for once, but the Lord never engaged on His own thing for once. The adversary waited and wanted the Lord to just make a wrong step in His ministry on earth, but the more Satan press on to falsify the Lord's integrity the more he met with failures. It is a great maturity and peace to submit to God’s will. Hence, to come into sonship and to combat the works of darkness, we must daily walk in this non-negotiable will of the Father. More so, we must press on to do the Lord's bidding pertaining to all that concerns us; His sovereign will must encapsulate our lives and by it we shall life forever.

May we indeed come into d depth which Christ Came into such dat at all times we would choose the Father's will as He chose d Father's will n not His will.. It is our love for the Father n His everlasting love that would bring US in2 doing His will.. Wen we obey, we become more like Him.. Grace Dele

    1. HIS WILL is the defining characteristic of God's presence among His people. Therefore, it should be the defining characteristic of God's people themselves. Thanks for the share dear.
