Vocationally, the wisest choices
are taken up by the single, since his or her single loyalty is not dual like
the married, who might not sleep through the night, making plans and altering
it the next morning, since she has to care for the domestic, logistics, the husband or the wife and more so, the children
who needs attention accurately. The singles have great time to explore their
worlds to the fullness. They can easily take up unusual endeavours in different
spheres of life just because their focus is without walls of distraction. So
many debates come up between the married ones if a call to missionary station
steps in or other adventures, such that might require the husband or the wife
to leave the vicinity for a long time. Hence, it becomes so hard to let ones
partner leaves for such a long time.
Nevertheless, God's consolation
meets the needs between the married ones, so they can allow God's verdict for
their partners to stand and to also allow each other go for such a missionary
work and other vocational adventures. But unlike the single whose response
would be, ‘Here I am.’ Therefore, it is wise to say singleness can be regarded
as a gift from God. It is a vocation to which people are called to exemplify the
gifted might, strength, wisdom, knowledge, rightness of focus, godliness,
virtues, and innate personal productivity. Hence, the period of being a single
is when you need to unlock God’s sacred call upon your life.
Opportunities will always have
another meaning to the singles, because as they come he/she takes it up and
explores it to the fullest. The married also can take up any opportunities but
is almost impossible to arrive at the same product end because the cares of the
family is one the distractions that hinders the speed of married ones. The
singles must also know that all the gifts inherent in his/her life are for the
Lord’s kingdom and for the equipping of the saints.
Most importantly, the singles
must be sensitive to God as to download the purposes of God for any life
vocation. The Bible talks about how God gave Moses specifications for the
building of the Temple and the Scriptures say, after Moses has built according
to all the specifications that God gave him, the glory of the Lord came on the
temple mightily. Hence, the instructions and the obedience to the Lord’s
specification for any life vocation will undoubtedly bring about the
magnificent of the Lord’s glory. As it is evidenced with Moses’ time that the
glory of the Lord came over the Temple, the same experience will come forth
over the believer when vocations are raised in the Lord’s specification.
