A TIMELESS INVESTMENT EVERY GOOD CHRISTIAN MUST HAVE

Serving human needs are very important to God’s heart as Proverbs 19:17 says: He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, and He will pay back what he has given. Here is perhaps the clearest identification of God Himself with the plight of the poor. The help they are given becomes God’s own debt to the giver. To help the needy is so important to God, that He associates Himself with the poor by taking their needs personally.

He promises to repay those who care about the marginalized and show kindness to the poor. Psalm 41:1-3 says: Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed. Poor: that is, poor in health, the weak and gaunt (Gen. 41:19). It is our obligation to shelter a homeless family, befriend a frightened stranger, visit a despondent prisoner, feed a hungry child etc Christians are summoned to do these not only by words but in deeds. The Lord Himself will repay us not necessarily with wealth and comfort, but with the honor of reflecting His character by sacrifice we make on behalf of the poor.

HOW TO AVOID AND OVERCOME BITTERNESS AS A CHRISTIAN

What Is Bitterness?

Bitterness can be defined as "an intense, deep-seated feeling of resentment, indignation, and ill-will against someone or something which we feel has committed an insult, injustice, or offense against us." It is an emotional response which results from failing to properly deal with feelings of personal outrage, anger, unforgiveness, and contempt. More so, is a condition which can arise when we fail to adequately resolve feelings of personal injury such as being humiliated, offended, unfairly treated, slighted, misunderstood, misused, misinterpreted, wronged in some way, or having our rights violated or ignored.

What Does Bitterness Do To Christians?

Bitterness is like a festering sore (Quote: CEI). It is a cancerous condition which can consume us with ill-will, negativity, slander, fault-finding, criticism, complaining, and an argumentative spirit. The Bible compares bitterness to a "root" and declares that many have been "defiled" by it (Heb.12:15). The scriptures speak of a "root of bitterness" because its potential effect upon our lives can be as widespread and entangle our life. When bitterness is allowed to take root, it becomes an increasingly deadly and destructive problem which chokes every area of our existence. If left unchecked, it will completely contaminate us and eventually undermine our relationship with God, spell spiritual shipwreck, and seriously damage our relationships with even our closest loved ones and friends.

OUR ALLOCATION IN JESUS’ BLOOD

The love of the God is eternally pure toward humanity in every sphere of life (John 3:16) and this is undeniable by the obvious proof and validity of His workings and all His creations attest to this truth. His love for all was the testament that issued the death of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ (Romans  5:10-11) For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. The Father has predestined us to be sons after the order of His only begotten Son, in that, Jesus was the propitiation that brought about our re-establishment with God i.e. restoration to the Divinity. To this end, Christ’s blood was and is our noble password to glory and eternal adoption.

LOVE MUST BE THE CENTRE OF OUR CONDUCTS

The moment we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and personal saviour, we are open to God’s kind of life called ZOE i.e. life of love and faith which was kick-started by the life of Jesus Christ, through His death, resurrection and ascension into glory divine. Since we have come to this saving grace, Love life calls for conscious pressing to live by faith in the Son of God who is the perfect expression of the Father’s love to humanity at large. The love life is the life of God for man to have undeniable victory over sin and death see John 10:10b. In that, the good Lord has tasted death once for all; that all who will come to His saving grace will be an embodiment of His love.

LOVE, THE ONLY TEMPLATE FOR EQUIPPING BELIEVERS

Definition: the above heading (equipping believers) implies making fit, preparing, training, perfecting, making fully qualified for service. In classical language, the word is used for setting a bone surgery. In the now, the Great physician is making all the necessary adjustments so the church will not be “out of joint.”  Looking at Eph 4:11, 12, this text teaches that all leadership gifts are given by Christ as the Lord of the church to “equip” (that is, to mend, prepare, and enable for function) the whole body of the congregation.

HOW TO EFFECTIVELY MANAGE MINISTERIAL DIFFERENCES

In our growing up in this vocation as Christians, being made wise to know by the Scriptures that we are joint heir with God through Christ, the Son of His love Col. 1:13, we are led to understand His word that says, "till we all come to the unity of faith" Eph 4:13a.

For we know that it is our faith in the Son that led us from our pre-conversion state to the regeneration state which sanctified us to be joint heir with the Father by the Son through the Holy Ghost.

THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD’S WILL

The will of a man is his ways and his ways doesn’t give room for God's will to find expression, only if he has been conquered by the gospel to submit to God in all reverence. By default the will power of man wants to lead the way even when he knows that it’s against God's will. Our will must be done away with, that the Excellency of His will might find expression. When the will of God takes us over, grace opens us up to live contrary to what is normal among men. I have discovered over time that the general phenomenon among men is, when our so-called will is experimented to a degree of physical success and with a visible side called prosperity. But those who are lovers of God's will are sons and daughters who live to do the Father's will and His pleasure.

CONTENDING FOR THE FAITH, THE PATHWAY OF SONSHIP.

Dear friends, I've dropped everything to write you about this life of salvation that we have in common. I have to write insisting — begging! — that you fight with everything you have in you for this faith entrusted to us as a gift to guard and cherish. Jude1:3 TMB.

Brother Jude said we have to contend for this faith. God has given to everyman the measure of faith. This faith was what Jesus showed with His walk on the earth and eventually purchased it with His own blood on the cross.

By the reason of His resurrection, pave way for an advance inauguration of the faith of the Son. No man had ever seen that kind of faith before that time, for it is no longer the faith to get things. Undoubtedly, this faith is the revelation of the righteousness of God which is the instrument of our glorification. Paul was able to spell it
